Talk To A Cop (T-TAC)

Talk to A Cop (T-TAC) is an in-school mentoring program for elementary students, which is designed to build and strengthen relationships between police officers and the youth of Prince George’s County.  The goal of the T-TAC is to make a positive impact in these children’s lives by targeting those that are vulnerable or at risk for juvenile delinquency, gang activity and drug use, and to guide them towards better alternatives and help them build long-term trust and confidence.  Students meet monthly during school hours at lunch period for discussions with police officers and the school counselor.  Topics that are covered include bullying, problem solving, social skills, safety in the community, leadership, self-worth and respect.

T-TAC is currently offered at Flintstone Elementary School.  If you are interested in implementing the program at your elementary school, please contact Cpl. Black at [email protected].

At this time, registration for T-TAC is closed.
